Roke tournament - Directions
NB. Roke can be a little difficult to find. If you are uncertain
of how to get to Roke, or if this is the first (or even the third ) time you
have been to Roke, you would be well advised to get a map.
From the North (M3)
- Exit M3 at Junction 7 onto the A303 and proceed for 10Km.
- Leave A303 and follow signs to Stockbridge.
- Take the A30 for 10Km.
- Just before the town of Stockbridge, takethe A3057, signposted Romsey.
- Proceed through the villages of Kings Somborne and Timsbury.
- 2km after Timsbury note the white bridge over the River Test.
- 100m after the bridge, turn right onto the B3084, opposite the Dukes Head Pub.
- 500m after the Pub and over the railway bridge, turn left into Old Salisbury Lane.
- Roke Manor Research is 500m up the narrow lane, on the left hand side.
From the South, East and West (M27)
Via the town of Romsey
- Exit M27 at Junction 3, via M271 to A3057, signposted Romsey
- Stay on A3057 following signs through the town to Stockbridge
- 2km North of the town note the white bridge over the River Test
- 100m After the bridge, turn left onto the B3084 opposite the Dukes Head Pub
- 500m after the Pub and over the railway bridge, turn left into Old
Salisbury Lane.
- Roke Manor Research is 500m up the narrow lane, on the left hand side.
Alternative Route ( Avoiding Romsey )
- Exit M27 at Junction 2 at Ower, taking A31 signposted Romsey
- 2Km from M27, at the top of the hill on the dual-carriageway, turn left
into Gardeneres Lane.
- Continue until you reach the a T-junction with the A27
- Turn left onto the A27 towards Salisbury for 1 mile to Shootash crossroads
- Turn Right (Awbridge) into Danes Road, and right again after 200m into Old
Salisbury Lane.
- Roke Manor Research is 2Km down the lane, on the right hand side.
